What Clarsource publishes
Clarsource publishes announcements from identified organisations: fundraising rounds, investments, new locations, appointments, contracts, partnerships, acquisitions, results and product launches.
Each announcement is a press release: it is written by the organisation publishing it and presented as such. Clarsource is not an opinion outlet and does not publish commentary.
We do not publish:
- content with no new information that is purely promotional;
- accusations targeting a named individual;
- information about people's private lives;
- content that is unlawful, including defamation, insults, incitement to hatred or fraud.
Who can publish
Any organisation registered in France can publish free of charge. The issuer is identified by its SIREN, which is checked against the official register of companies.
A public relations agency can publish on behalf of its clients. In this case, the announcement identifies the organisation concerned and includes the words “Distributed by” followed by the agency's name.
Each announcement displays the issuer's status:
- Verified issuer: the organisation has been identified and the person publishing has been linked to it;
- Public source: the announcement reproduces information already made public by the organisation, with a link to the original;
- Unverified source: the information comes from a source that could not be linked to the organisation. It is published only after newsroom approval.
Review before publication
No announcement appears in the feed without being reviewed by a member of the newsroom. The review covers:
- the issuer's identity and its link to the organisation;
- whether there is new, dated and verifiable information;
- whether the figures in the text are consistent with those in the structured record;
- compliance with the rules on this page.
Review does not replace the issuer's responsibility: the issuer remains responsible for what it states. This is why each data point displays its verification level.
Data verification levels
Key details in an announcement (amount, date, location, people and investors) are extracted into a structured record. Each is assigned a level:
- Declared: stated by the issuer;
- Checked: compared against a reference source, such as the company register or a commune's official code;
- Validated: confirmed by a source independent of the issuer.
Data highlighted in yellow has been extracted and added to the record.
The role of AI
Clarsource offers AI-assisted drafting based on a document provided by the issuer, as well as automatic translations.
- the issuer reviews and approves the final text before it is submitted;
- AI never publishes on its own: the newsroom review process applies in the same way;
- for a translated announcement, the reference language chosen by the issuer takes precedence;
- the data in the structured record is checked against the approved text.
Corrections and history
A published announcement can be corrected by its issuer or by the newsroom. Each correction creates a new version, and the history remains visible on the page, showing what changed and when.
An error reported by a reader and confirmed is corrected, with a note explaining the correction.
Removal
An announcement can be removed at the request of its issuer, a person concerned or a rights holder, or by decision of the newsroom. Requests can be made from the Report an announcement page, without an account.
You will receive an acknowledgement immediately, along with a tracking number. The newsroom responds within 72 working hours*. Content that is clearly unlawful (defamation, invasion of privacy or personal data) is hidden within 24 working hours* while it is reviewed.
Every decision is explained and can be challenged. When an announcement is removed, this is still noted on the organisation's page.
* Timeframes start when a complete request is received, subject to the request being legitimate under our editorial policy.
Confidential sources
An employee, staff representative or witness can share information in confidence. Nothing is published without the newsroom's approval. If published, the information is labelled “Unverified source”. The person's identity is never published or shared with the organisation concerned.
Independence
Paid plans provide access to tools. They do not affect the review process, the decision to publish or the order of the feed. Details of each plan are available on the Pricing page.
