Frequently asked questions
Which press releases does the API include?
All press releases published on Clarsource: investments, fundraising rounds, appointments, contracts, acquisitions, results and launches. Press releases shared via private link are not included, and those under embargo only appear when published.
Why use the API rather than extract press releases yourself?
Announcements arrive already structured, with the company identified, their versions and reuse rights. You have no text analysis to maintain.
What format does the API return?
JSON, with a schema.org block (NewsArticle) for each announcement, plus information specific to Clarsource: source, versions and rights.
Is data available in several languages?
Yes. Each language version has its own identifier and URL, with a link to the authoritative version.
How are corrections and withdrawals handled?
A correction creates a new version, flagged by webhook. A withdrawn announcement remains listed with its status, but without its content, so your systems can remove it too.
Can I use the content to train a model?
Only announcements for which the company gives permission: a field indicates this for each one. You can always cite the source and link to it.
